"What a gem of a place. Had to make a quick trip to Grass Valley for a funeral, found this darling place and decided to give it a try. What a wonderful surprise. Everything was just perfect. From the guy who checked us in to the nice breakfast. A+++++ from us. And the sheets are so comfortable, as was the bed and pillows. Thank you!"

"Older motel, clean and neat outside. Ample parking. Room had a fun and well done western theme. Room very clean especially bathroom. Nice bed. Not fancy, not a corporate copycat, just an affordable place to send a night."

"This is a very dated property, and the property's location down winding side roads was hard to find and not very close to Grass Valley/ Nevada City. The facility dates back to the 1960's, and it shows its age and some neglect. Little has been done to maintain or update it. All that said, the staff was nice, and they do offer one of the few opportunities for short term accommodations at a reasonable price. For that reason, it is adequate for a short stay for the budget conscious if you're willing...

"Near town, thus walkable, for its many options. Hiking and parks nearby. Each cottage is appointed well in terms of simple usage, not overdone. 2nd visit here, where we met some out of town friends, & everything worked out fine. Great coffee for their provided coffeemaker. "

"Nice Bed and Breakfast hotel. We stay here every year for our family get together in Alta. It’s quiet, rustic and I always enjoy the breakfast. The staff are pleasant and the place is clean. The price is reasonable."

"I enjoyed my stay at this cute little miners cabin. It’s a very quiet and peaceful setting, yet close to town. This is a great place for a short stay and was a fantastic value. I would stay again if in this area."
