"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home in Serene Lakes. It is virtually brand new and is located 0.8 miles walking/driving distance to Royal Gorge Cross Country Resort and approximately a ten minute drive to Sugar Bowl Resort. The home was immaculate, beds comfy, kitchen applicances perfect (six burner stove!), and the shower heads were great. The layout of the great room (kitchen/dining/living) has a view of the front deck and was designed with both comfort and functionality in mind...super easy to cook or do projects in the kitchen and easily see and visit with people at the dining table and/or on the living room couches...if you want to watch a game or a movie, you can see from the kitchen and dining area as well. Internet service was solid, and that is not a given in this neighborhood. All the bedrooms have a deck. The gas fireplace in the great room makes for great ambience and also serves as a back-up heat source for those occasions that the power might go out. and an easily accessible two car garage (that also accomodated our Thule box on top of our SUV)....that is beyond helpful, especially in the winter. The snow plowing crew (driveway and street berm) and the snow shoveling crew (decks and front stairwell) were efficient and friendly. Thank you Jerome and family for sharing your home! We will be back next winter! "

"Fantastic in every way. Ski out the door up the hills behind. Cross the road to ski on the lake. All five bedrooms fine with 4 of them very nice. 4 of us used the skis provided. Book collection good. (Didn’t find any games or puzzles so bring them if you want) Kitchen very nicely equipped. Nice big oven. Lots of pans"

"We had a wonderful time for an extended weekend stay. We were very comfortable (6 adults and a dog). The kitchen was well stocked, the hot tub was always hot, and neighborhood was quiet. Just what we needed to get away. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a cozy place to getaway!"

"This was my second stay at this quaint cabin in Soda Springs in two years. 2 minutes from freeway, one exit from Boreal, and the same 7 minute traffic free drive to Sugar Bowl. General Store and ski rentals a stones throw away from cabin. For Real Pizza 5 minutes away. More firewood and kindling or fire starter would be nice to see."

"The house was set up nicely for a family group ages 1-78 years with separate places for adults and children to gather, play and just relax. It was outfitted with indoor and outdoor materials for children (electronic games and tobogans) and located above the lake (we made a toboggan run in back of the house0. Everyone enjoyed the stay and thought we should visit again next year. "

"The cabin was beautiful to start and then enhanced with flowers, poinsettias, and xmas decorations. The host is properly proud of their cabin and very welcoming. It is particularly well-located for cross-country skiing at Royal Gorge."
