"Last time I stayed up London way we were an hour out of the city so this time I wanted somewhere much more central and gave myself £200 budget for four nights for me and my lad. Was it possible? Found this place for just over budget. Read some really bad stuff but chanced it. Room was small but cosy, comfortable bed with clean bedding, heater was on the whole time which was a relief as it was 3 degrees out, shower was lovely and hot too. "This is the cleanest hostel I have ever been in. They are cleaning night and day. The 24-hour reception is a real plus and will take packages for you and accommodate most requests. The adjacent Brazilian restaurant is great for when you need a hot meal without going out in the cold. Unfortunately they don't have a coffee machine, but there is a cafe whose hours in the off-season are erratic. Super polite and helpful staff always. The bus and subway are 30 metres away. Closest shop about 200...

Sure it is not the Ritz but even when I have stayed in much more expensive accommodation - while there may be more amenities available - I rarely use them and I sleep jsut as comfortably at the Easy Hotel as I do at the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed at - and at the same time save money in a convenient location wth great staff."

"Probably the best value hotel room I’ve stayed in. Yes, the hotel is old, dated and in urgent need of some repair. BUT for £60 for a large room, castle view and walkable distance to all of the tourist attractions, it’s a good deal. Not sure what the deal was with the little homemade sandwiches in the foyer though….? Btw, I’m actually a local resident and was staying here for one night while I was exchanging/completing on my property. Served its purpose well. "

"This is a simple budget friendly hotel. I paid GBP70 for a one night stay. The room was small but very clean, the shower was hot, the bed was comfy and the room was a comfortable temperature. I did not need a desk to work at so that was not an issue. For a one night crash over it was more than adequate. Breakfast was very very simple. Just toast and jam, coffee and juice from concentrate. But given a lot of hotels at this price point would not include anything its was welcome and saved me...
