"Unexpected large hotel with nice lobby and communal areas. Large gardens and outside spaces for warm weather visits. Convenient location near Dorking for drivers and convenient for hill walkers. Quiet during my stay which I enjoyed. Car parking unusual but satisfactory. Perhaps it was the quietness in the hotel but service could be slow."

"Beautiful building, wonderful location and grounds. Fabulous decor and we had a lovely stay. Just a shame our bedroom window was broken and the shower pressure could have been more powerful. The £50.00 holding deposit which wasn't mentioned in the details was surprise and did detract slightly from the stay. "

"Lovely comfortable hotel right in the middle of Dorking. Lovely welcoming touches (welcome note in the room, complimentary sweet treats, fresh milk for teas etc.); very good a la carte breakfast; comfortable room with good radio and TV, and pod coffeemaker (plastic free pods); lovely toiletries in refillable bottles in bathroom; all the satgg we met were excellent. It suited usnvery well for our stay. Be aware that there are narrow and fairly steep stairs to many of the rooms, so check that out...
