"Pros: The location is superb - 50 feet from the beach and as close as the only other 1 or 2 MUCH HIGHER PRICED hotels actually on Samara beach. Staff are great and very helpful, but only 2 of them. Nearest restaurant/bar is only 100 yds away along the sand/beachfront path (no sidewalk on the main road - avoid at night). Other restaurants are 10min walk on the beach, a very easy flat walk but bring flashlight. Very reasonably priced - extremely good value. Would definitely book...

"Samara Pacific Lodge is a hidden gem for our Samara adventure! The location was perfect. We could walk to the beach for some surfing in the mornings, then head into town for delicious local eats in the afternoons. In the evenings, the pool area was a lifesaver! Nice and refreshing, with plenty of comfy loungers to catch some rays and unwind. The staff here were incredible. Kenneth and Allen were so friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond with a smile. And breakfast every morning...

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"Property was awesome, water systems and septic systems need upgrading. Bearly any pressure and little or no hot water for the showers. We have stayed many times in Costa Rica and the issues that I have mentioned seem to apply to most properties. We go for the Pura Vida and we were not disapointed. "
