"Quiet area. Rooms are quite small, but that's expected in an older European hotel. Had a nice powerful shower stay! You check in at a neighboring hotel and walk a few meters to the Alpina. There is a nice large lounge area where you can also sure your luggage if needed. We had a small chain to keep ours secured, but I don't think it was necessary. I would stay here again."

"This is only the second stay I've had in a hostel and it was a very nice experience. We ended up getting a room with its own bathroom and a view of the Matterhorn out our window. "The room was next to a busy road, but I was able to sleep well because of tiredness. Anyone walking the Via Francigena should be tired enough to sleep through an explosion. 😇 It’s only 9 mins walk from the train station (bus-substitute trains run often.) "The apartment I was given was clean, well equipped and had an amazing view…not sure if this ‘view’ is guaranteed so I will refrain from saying what the view was but you can guess. Couldn’t fault the accommodation we were placed in. Nice to see the apartment block had a quiet time (10pm till 6am) this was respected when we were there so we had 4 good night sleeps. "

"Overall this was exactly what I expected and wanted. A bit basic but then at the price its fantastic value for money. I have no complaints. Its about a 15 minute drive from the Valtounenche lift which gets you up to the entire Cervinia / Zermatt range. The restaurant attached was good and had friendly staff."
