"The property is exactly as described. It was clean, comfortable and convenient. The property there is quite amazing with its ruins and the river and clear creek running right through it. Maddie especially made our time there special. She was so helpful in planning our days and sharing such interesting information about the area in addition to providing meals of breakfast and dinner that were wonderful for a very reasonable fee."

"Pine ridge lodge was a great place to stay for a few days in mountain pine ridge. The grounds are full of native plants and even chickens, turkeys, and 2 friendly dogs. The hosts are very friendly and eager to offer recommendations for local sights. Do yourself a favor and eat on site. The chef, Marcia, is very talented. I would definitely stay here again for my next visit to the area. "

"Joe & Miriam (sp?) were very friendly and engaging hosts. We went to the Caracol Mayan site and also did a boat/swimming/waterfall tour. Joe is very knowledgeable about Mayan ruins. He is most enthusiastic about showing you his native country. Miriam is a great cook. We thoroughly enjoyed our jungle experience."

It's definitely more at the 'rustic' end of the scale but we really enjoyed that aspect. The river is wonderful to jump in and cool off and Mario helped us with a river tubing trip that ended right at the hotel's desk. "This was a new listing and it’s very nice and comfortable. The nicest space we’ve been in on our month long trip. Because it’s new, we left a list of items that they needed such as a can opener, dish rack etc. "

I would consider this more of a working ranch than a resort, as we felt like it's more setup for locals to Belmopan and cowboys than it is to the average traveler. Nice food, good overall value. Kind of a strange cowboy guy who apparently owns the property who was a little overly friendly to my girlfriend out of the blue. However seems that locals love him and have good things to say. If you're up for something a bit different...

"Beautiful place but very simple with no tv or air conditioner but did come with a ceiling fan and 2 floor fans that we were able to use all 3 in one room. Came with a kitchen and coffee pot, stove & fridge but no microwave "
