"My family and I stayed here two nights just before Christmas. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The owner offers a shuttle bus during the morning hours to Gora Station, which is very helpful for getting to Hakone ropeway. Local restaurants were a bit unaccessible as it was off-season but this inn has its own great little restaurant kitchen. We had two dinners here and tried almost everything on the menu. "Let’s be clear. This place has the potential to hit a 5 ANY day of the week. Big call, considering we paid more per night here than ANY other Hotel we stayed at over a 2 week trip. The only down side was the staff and their attitude. The refusal to provide housekeeping, despite the booking confirmation clearly stating daily house keeping is something I can live with IF a management decision has been made.
