"THIS IS MY FIRST TIME AT A HOSTEL. I had a lovely 10 nights. The room is decent and for the price you can’t beat it. "My room in Hotel Mayerling was very basic and in need of a coat of paint. That said it was clean, warm and reasonably comfortable, if not overly large. "This place was good to hole up for a couple days and rest. It's a 20 minute bus + 30 minute train from anything worth seeing as a tourist so if you hope to see Madrid this is not the place. It's in an industrial area and the only place for miles around to eat is the hotel bar/ restaurant across the street. Great staff but not great food.
