"We've stayed at Aura del Mar twice now. We love staying there as the location is great, it is right on the beach, close to Centro and the view from the room is gorgeous. The staff is super nice and helpful. There are a few things they could improve. the shower had no water pressure for the last 3 days. It was so bad, it took me forever to wash my hair. "It is an old hotel, so for what it is, it’s not bad. Very good area. Very safe. Staff was great and friendly. If it was a little cheaper it would’ve been 5 stars. I just think the hotel needs an update. But the beaches are amazing. No complaints. People around the area are also very friendly. "

"The Thompson is a modern Mexican hotel located on Playa Ropa. You can walk to restaurants and are an easy 5 min cab or 100 MXP to the center. We enjoyed our stay and ate at both of the restaurants on the property which were excellent. The massage was wonderful and if you need help with a tour they are accommodating. A lovely get away! "
