"We had an amazing stay. It was such a rejuvenating experience! The mat beds were probably the most comfortable sleep we’ve ever gotten and the always hot hot spring tub will be something I dream about forever. Food was amazing, although the portions are almost too much for one meal. We left each meal stuff beyond belief and partially dreaded not being hungry enough to eat the next one haha. Such an amazing stay, we would most definitely come back again!"

"Amazing retreat, with postcard view of Mount Fuji and Lake Ashinoko. One caveat is that the residence is unmanned, meaning that you can’t access to property, let alone drop luggage, until check-in time. "

"Beautiful property right on the lake. We booked a lake view room which I recommend. We were on the top floor and loved our view but I’m sure all rooms are similar. The area has restaurants near by, the pier is 5 mins away where you can hop on the boats to tour the lake and also go up on the cable car. There is also the largest souvenir store right next door. We received a welcome drink at the bar and are reservation also included breakfast which was nice. We definitely would recommend this hotel !"

"Buffet variety for dinner and breakfast was great. Live sushi and tempura made in front of you. Huge selection! You also rent by the hour a private onsen which we did. Public onsen was okay. Had steam room and sauna and cold plunge area. Enough lockers and showe stalls. Extra towels and water stations were there. Rooms were big and separate rooms if you have 4 people. Mix of western bed and futons on the floor. "

"This was a Japanese cultural dream. From the traditional meals to dressing in yukata everything was perfect. Even tho it may be out of the comfort zone of some westerners, I think everyone should stay at a ryokan. It’s truly the most zen experience! We even tried soaking in the onsite onsen. Try it! You won’t regret it! "

"Everything is good. Super clean. Very convenient for transportation and shopping. Just slightly noisy from nearby trains at night. Easy check-in and check-out. "

"Aura Tachibana is a Japanese style Onsen accommodation with large Japanese style rooms facing the mountains. We were checked in by a gentleman called Bappa Mondal from our hometown in India (Kolkata) and he was incredible. He explained all the options, did his best to accommodate the dietary restrictions for my wife and gave valuable advice on local transportations. The room was large, quiet and elegant."
