"It was a comfortable bed and clean room. Breakfast was good. Could have used some bacon or sausage with the eggs, which was not available. The area is off old Rte 66. Which is very economically depressed. Many closed and boarded up buildings. Homeless walking around. The night I stayed, one of the guests had her car window smashed in the middle of the night and her car broken into. Right in the hotel parking lot. High crime area."

"A basic level experience for a budget price at Barstow in the Motel 6 "Studio" variant close to the east end on Main Street. Bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi and TV worked fine. My only complaint was the lack of soap. Not sure whether this was an oversight or an intentional add-on option, but that's a new one on me. Fortunately I had some with me."

"I relied on this site to recommend a descent place for the price. Dirty stained sheets and the TV didn't work. No one to check you in or out. You had to call a number for someone to come from home to check us in. A lot of drug trafficking, soliciting to say the least very dangerous for out of town visitors. "
