"The Elleray is pub/hotel it’s a traditional old building with sash windows, a dining area/lounge, bar and an outdoor beer garden. For the age and style of the building it was very clean in the rooms and public areas. The rooms are comfortable with a big telly, tea/coffee etc. The staff were excellent and friendly and helpful, the food was excellent as well and very tasty. They have a variety of drinks available including local guest ales although I didn’t try any, only thing I’d mention is if...

"Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good. Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner. Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous. Wouldn’t stay here again ."

Everything about this venue is superb, especially the wonderful staff who never fail to make us feel at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The hotel is so comfortable with lots of rooms to sit and relax. The log fires add to the comfort. Breakfast is so enjoyable with lots of choice.
