Not so much a castle, as the shell of a gatekeeper's house built around 1897.

It was more or less abandoned until the Cleveland Metroparks bought the land in 1925. The Metroparks removed the second floor and filled in the basement.

"Booked 2 rooms at this hotel for 3 nights and when we arrived, it was closed down!!! No phone call or email or any notice whatsoever. Prepaid over $500 and have nothing to show for it. We had to book rooms down the street which more than doubled the cost of our trip. I can’t get a response from the hotel and hotels.com is supposed to be ‘looking into it’ but we’re a month past and still nothing! This is simply shameful!"

"My stay at the Drury was honestly incredible! There were so many awesome amenities that I didn’t know about before booking. There was complimentary dinner for one! And it came with 3 alcoholic beverages too. There was a 24/7 fountain pop machine. And a mini convenience store. Also continental breakfast! I would love to stay here again in the future. "
