"It was great. Only a couple things...toilet paper not stocked, we had to empty the dishwasher, and there were still towels in the dryer that we had to fold and put away and the comforter was still wet in the washing machine. The fireplace was also full of burned wood and ashes. We didn't really want to have to "work" (LOL) when we got there but if this is the expectation, we'll know next time. "My husband and I found this unit perfect for a ski weekend getaway at Snowshoe! While it is a smaller space, it is perfect for 2 people and really efficient, offering great storage, a well-stocked kitchen, and comfy hangout space. "Great time. The place was great and check in/out was easy. Rentals were right downstairs, and the Soaring Eagle lift was right out the window. The indoor hot tub was really cool. We could hear the hoots bar below at night faintly, but it didn't stop us from falling asleep after long days on the slopes."

"Beautiful condo in Silver Creek! Clean, stocked with everything you'd need, not far from the slopes. Highly recommend!"

"Love the location and the updates. The only issue was the master bath could not keep hot water. It kept going cold and hot and so we all had to use the other bathroom for the shower. Not a big deal, otherwise great unit. "

"This was a nice place. Clean and close to skiing. The WiFi wasn’t working, but we managed to get a signal from another room. Pans leave a lot to be desired, but made it work. Tv remote control as missing in the main room. Minor issues. This place is right outside the kids play area, so it can get a little noise late morning and early afternoon. Wasn’t a big deal. We enjoyed our stay, check-in was super easy as usual, and it’s truly ski in, ski out. "

"Can’t beat the ski lockers in the same apartment building with the ski rental and slopes just steps out the door! No driving necessary. Located in the ski village and just a short walk to the restaurants and shops. The apartment had all the items need to make your own food. The living space was comfortable. Would stay here again!"

"This was the cleanest hotel that ive stayed at in a very long time. In addition - everything in the room furnishings etc. Were in excellent condition. Could have used a new mini fridge- but, the one there worked. A one cup hot water maker would be good separate from the coffee maker would be nice- so- the tea doesnt taste like coffee. They did charge me extra money when i got there called an incidental fee."

"Our stay at Oglebay was wonderful from start to finish. We booked a vacation for ourselves, our 20 month old and my parents. It was perfect. The restaurant and its staff were professional and accommodating. The hotel staff was fantastic. We had a problem with our room heater and they changed the whole unit within the hour! The pool area was wonderful and we swam 2x a day. We took our son to the environmental center, the horse stables and on a stroller walk on the gorgeous property through the snow when it warmed up a tiny bit. Route 88 Burgers was great for dinner one night. We didn’t visit the zoo because it was too cold out (10-20 degrees all week) but I’m sure it’s great. We stayed on the first floor of the Byrd wing close to the pool and our baby monitor even reached the Hickman Lounge area, so the adults were able to play cards, sit in front of the fire place, and visit when my son was napping or after he went to bed. All in all, a perfect, relaxing stay. We would love to return in the summer months and stay in a cottage or chalet and use the outdoor pool complex too. We highly recommend Oglebay for families! "
