"We have been coming to Silverstrand for 30 years and love the nice cool beach and quaint neighborhood. We loved this beach house and would absolutely stay there again. It is basic, uncluttered, a little worn but comfortable. The kitchen is pretty small and the cookware is old but it’s all functional. The house gets a little warm but the owners provide large fans and with the windows and doors open it cools off very nicely. The bathrooms are nice and the outside shower was great for rinsing off...

"I actually did not stay here because the Host cancelled our reservation the day before we were supposed to check in. More specifically, she tried to push me to cancel the reservations so I'd have to eat the charges: this seems like fraud to me. She gave conflicting reasons for the cancellation, I assume at least one reason was a lie. This Host is not trustworthy. Also I am disappointed in VRBO for failing to properly vet the properties on its platform. I'm done with short-term rentals! Too hard...

The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything you need for stay. We happened to stay during a heat wave and found that it took quite awhile for the PLUG- IN AC to cool place off. "Carpinteria is just a special place. Paul’s tiny homes gave us a chance to experience it. Definitely read the description as there are quirks to this property. It’s two separate homes. The kitchen home has two lofts… one w/ a queen bed & one w/ a twin. The bedroom home has the bathroom. Those staying in the lofts need to go outside to get to the bathroom, but there is an exterior door directly into the bathroom. You’re on a farm, so there are animals including roosters nearby.
