"Everything was perfect about this property. The only down side was a sewer stench coming from the bathroom; however all of the other qualities made it tolerable. The steps were no problem unless maybe you are older or injured. Marco was sweet but did better answering calls rather than texts. The room had a cozy vibe and the bed was so nice, like sleeping on grandma’s sheets. The wood ceiling in our room was beautiful. We could walk easily to everything. The price was a great value. "

"The very first thing I would say is that the location is PERFECT! Central to everything! The bed,pillows and mattress were extremely nice!!! I contacted the hotel to ask whether we could store our luggage before we checked in, as we didn't want to carry them all day around the towns in Lake Como. "We stayed for 3 nights and wished it was a week. The apartment was as comfortable and the view as beautiful as advertised. We did not have a car But it was easy to get to and from the lovely town of Varenna by cab. Marco was a very gracious and helpful host I highly recommend this property. "

"Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."
