"Hard to find. We had to ring owner and we wete literally outside. Not hotel bit apartment within a block of apartments. Very secure- 4 keys to get into your room. Booked lakeside view which could be seen from side window. Apartment was huge wuth a fantastic bathroom and huge bath. Owner made aware we celebrating my birthday and he very kindly left a bottle of prosecco in room. Very thoughtful. Lots of bars/restaurants in locality. "

"The very first thing I would say is that the location is PERFECT! Central to everything! The bed,pillows and mattress were extremely nice!!! "The area was tucked in a quiet part of Como Town, but was a relatively easy walk to the path by the Lake. The rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. I am gluten sensitive and they offered me gluten free bread and cookies which were tasty. We would stay here again. "

"A beautiful and tranquil b&b. The hosts were so helpful and friendly. It is very hard to get to by public transport if you are hoping to explore lake como but we were picked up from the station and lent bicycles for our stay which was so helpful and made a really nice addition to our holiday (we definitely felt silly for not researching the transport enough before). We will definitely come back! "

"Such a lovely place to stay with a courtyard for off-road parking. The Italian owner helpfully spoke good English. He said he also spoke other languages as well. It is right on the edge of the lake and the front rooms have a view over the lake and the back rooms have a delightful view of the mountainside and over look a courtyard with typical Italian buildings. "Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee."
