"Fantastic customer service from the moment i checked in. Carlos, Sariya and Marisol were Fantastic. Carlos even gave us an evening tour of the lush groubds to searxh for exotic animals. I perfect place to stay to explore the Mayan ruins. Highly recommend this wonderful, beautiful property."

"Mystic River is truly a gem. They treat each guest as family, and because of the small size, you can really get to know the staff. The guides for the excursions were fabulous - knowledgeable, safe, and friendly. The only thing to be aware of is the lack of A/C in the cabanas. Even with fans, it can be quite hot at night. But, we found it entirely worth it! It was a wonderful jungle adventure that my kids will remember forever."

"Fantastic place to stay! Jungle setting was beautiful with lots of wildlife. Floating the Macal River was fun for kids (and adults). The food was fresh, perfectly prepared, and always with a local touch. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Lots of activities available and sites to see nearby. We enjoyed our stay at Sweet Songs more than the beach near Placencia. "

"I adored my stay here and wish I could have stayed longer. First, the staff are AMAZING. So warm, so helpful, so lovely. I am someone who always has a million questions and does silly things like not know how to lock my door-- they were there for all of it with a smiling face. 11/10 staff experience here. Second, the property is so cute! All the nature around the accommodation is awesome. I was told you can sometimes see Toucans in the front tree! While I didn't witness them, if you go be on the lookout :) Third, the location. It is *right* by one the Mayan ruin sites, which makes for a lovely morning adventure (before all the crowds rush in). I will say that this location is at the top of a giant hill.... so there is a trade off of having the peace and quiet/nature with the amenities of being directly in town. I ended up walking down the hill (into downtown) and then taking a taxi ($5 USD) back up one night, and then walked the other times. I would absolutely stay here again. I was traveling as a solo female traveler and had not one issue. Highly recommend."

"Outstanding service. Quiet. Comfortable. This property was so peaceful and beautiful and restful. It was just what we needed after a long day of traveling. Dominic was so helpful and social. He’s a really nice man. They have drinking water in the common room and they have dinner family style. The room was clean and even had tea and snacks and a hair dryer! I’ll be back someday! Highly recommended."

"Enjoyed our stay very much. Loved the beautiful bedspread and red sheets. Staff was friendly and wonderful! Room was clean and very comfortable. We had a car and parking was available and easy. The only complaint is that the pool was not open and there was loud construction going on. Didn’t spend a lot of time in room. Would stay here again. Would highly recommend. "
