"Our stay at Villa Cayo exceeded expectations. We stayed in one of their separate guesthouses. Sitting on the comfy Adirondack chairs watching toucans eating fruit from the tree in front of our guesthouse was magical. "We had a nice short stay. Place is close to town - walkable but dont attempt it midday - can be really hot. We had a couple of issues - fridge was very noisy - fan had to be replaced in the freezer. No hot water in the showers. It felt like the place was not checked before renting.. Samantha and Natasha were quick to respond and fix amost issues. "

"Lovely hotel on the river. But the best part was Jose and staff. He/they did everything possible to make our stay special. I think the bedding could use an upgrade, but all else was perfect. Rico’s restaurant on site served excellent food."

"The unit is still being developed. We liked the country setting. But the dirt roads to get there are bumpy. Good value for the price. Very friendly & helpful hosts. Water pressure in the area is extremely low, something the hosts have no control over. But that makes taking a shower a challenging task. If we go back to the Spanish Lookout area, we'd be happy to stay there again. Frank"

"The property is amazing. Only received low score based on accuracy of listing. My cabin was not one that was pictured, however I did still enjoy the cabin and it was cool and comfortable. The pool was…. Not as clear as the pictures. The food from Jack at the bar was 10/10 phenomenal. I recommend the buffet and full English breakfast. The road coming up the hill is a little rough, but manageable. I enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and comfy. Very relaxing."
