"This hotel is basically a hostel and was just ok. The room we booked was on the third level and there was no air conditioning and it was very very hot. It was a short walk to our "guest house" along cobble stone streets but finding the check in counter at another location was difficult for our driver. Room was very bare bones but ok in cleanliness. "This boutique hotel is a former private residence and is absolutely gorgeous. The staff can't do enough for you. The included breakfast is made to order and at 6 in the evening there is a wine & cheese hour, sometimes with entertainment. During our three night stay there was a magician doing some card tricks one evening and a Fado preformance another. The grounds are beautiful too and there's several resident peackocks strutting their stuff. I have no hesitation recommending this gem of a place."
