"It was an amazing find! It felt so peaceful and relaxing! They have a beautiful orchard with goats! The property was pristine and had beautiful antiques throughout! They are a 5 th generation family business! Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome! As a bonus they have espresso, tea, fruit, and cookies out all the time. You feel like you are home!!! Guests are welcome to bring food in and eat in the common dining area. This place was a treasure! We will definitely be back!"

"Brilliant stay. Not too far from the airport if you have a car but feels like a million miles away from Lisbon, perfect if you want to get away from it all. Great base if you want to visit the beaches in the south/west. We really appreciated the breakfast. In the middle of the national park - we saw animals every morning. Hosts we first rage and couldn’t do enough for us."

"I booked purely for the pool but the setting of the place in its own valley surrounded by greenery is possibly one of the best spontaneous bookings I've made. For 3 days I only left the pool to eat it was that relaxing. Great staff too. "

"It was so far from any attraction that it didn't come up on GPS. They only took cash or local credit, nothing international. We cancelled our reservation with the permission of the onsite personnel. Then the son running the business remotely called and threatened me with fraud if I didn't go back. Terrible experience. "

The villa was very comfortable and large, and the pool was great. There is not much else in Assenta, but there is a small supermarket in Charneca, which is only a few km away, and much larger supermarkets in Silveria and Ericeria. "We loved our stay at Upon Lisbon! The hotel is perfectly located next to the Benfica stadium which makes it very easy if you are attending a game. The hotel is a little farther from the city, so if you want a more central hotel don’t choose this one. Overall, I really loved the hotel and would stay again! "
