"This was our family's first experience with onsen culture, and it did not disappoint! Tyler-san is a patient and kind host, sharing his love of local cuisine and traditions, leading or driving us to where we needed to go. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed the spa. The property is beautifully decorated and there is a place for everyone and every age, whether you need to curl up with a book, play the piano or board games, gaze at the garden, warm yourself by the fire, or enjoy soaking in the onsen. "One of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Super nice room, huge amount of space, two very comfortable double beds. Very nice sitting area, great view. Very nice onsen, and very very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommended!!"

"Not worth it. Way over priced! We stayed one night. Staff are very nice. But the place is of a by gone era. It’s old but not in a charming way. Showers in the onsen are cold and you have to wait for many minutes in order for hot water to come out. The rooms and elevators are old. the outdoor hotspring is on the top floor with no facilities (you have to go downstairs first and shower) and no real view to speak of. The location is on the main drag which is nice. But it should be 1/2 the cost and even then I’d reconsider for other places."
