"Very good for $ stay! Cute, clean rooms in a nice set up with a shared kitchen/lounge space. Neighbourhood was close to quite a few restaurants. We were provided with both bath and beach towels as well as earplugs (the windows are not soundproof from outside). My only suggestion would be for better pillows. Communication for check in/out was all by phone/email but instructions were clear and we had no issues. Would do a short term stay here again!"

"I had a pleasant stay at Casa of Essence. There were a few things I wasn't expecting... No hot water in the bathroom sink or the kitchen. The shower was lukewarm water. The tile floors had a shellac on them that was peeling off everywhere so I couldn't walk barefoot anywhere in the suite. The staff was nice...I just feel these issues should have been noted by Expedia"

"We made a reservation for 5 and it was very cramped for that number. The unit was lovely (except an oven would have been nice) and the pool was great! Our GPS put it one street over but the owner communicated promptly and all was good."

"Such a great stay for 2 nights! Location is in the heart of bars, restaurants and within walking distance to all the historical sights. The room is small but in a very cool open air building. Bathroom is not attached but is right across the room and used the same room key - which was no problem for us! The bathroom was very big! We loved our stay and I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a nice place to stay if you'll be out and about exploring the majority of the day! "

"We had a wonderful stay and great time in Old San Juan. The house was well equipped with all amenities (but bring your own laundry soap!) and very clean. The fresh smell was very welcoming. It was warm outside so the AC was great and a must have. Loved how the shutter doors/windows opened to the street. It was a very lively neighborhood with noise well into the night.. this did not bother us in the primary sweet and our daughter slept with ear plugs and slept great. Lots of space and storage...
