"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. It was freshly updated and very clean. Our boys loved the bunk beds and there was plenty of outside deck space for them to run around. Great location with a few minute walk to beach access. Centrally located with a few minute drive to downtown Duck and 15-20 minute drive to downtown Corolla. The house has everything you need including beach chairs and a wagon for transporting everything. My only tip for families with little ones would be setup for bath time in the main bathroom. The glass door is awkward and makes giving baths difficult for kids and it doesn’t quite hold off water from dripping over the tub when you shower. Not a dealbreaker by any means, just a friendly tip for families looking to stay. Would highly recommend this house and would absolutely stay here again. "

"We checked in on Thursday, September 26; called that night to report 2 tvs not working (and it wasn't wifi), texted about the tvs again on the 27th...never heard from anyone about the tvs. One toilet would not flush, someone finally came about 13 hours before check out. There were ants in the kitchen all around the stove and the glass top on the stove was cracked. We killed 3 spiders (2 WERE IN 2 DIFFERENT BEDS!!). Overall, the house was just not clean; it seems it has been neglected for several months now. Very disappointing."

"The property really needs TLC.. many lightbulbs were burned out, furniture torn or soiled, broken windows with duct tape, curtain rods about to fall off……master bedroom was nice, but the mattress needed replaced. Felt like i was sleeping in a hole. The walk to the beach was short and the location is perfect.. the hot tub was very nice and we enjoyed it . I would not book this house again, unless updates were made."

"The house and location is exactly as listed. A short walk from the beach but was very close to the town of Duck, just a short ride away. However, I did not have a good experience with the property management team and cleanliness. Upon arrival there were dead bugs all over the ground... which if it was just cleaned I'm sure they would of noticed that? Then noticed the fridge was leaking. So I reached out to housekeeping within the timeframe asked and they said they would come by at 7:00. So we went to the grocery store and when we came back at 6:15 there was a written note stating that since we were not there when they came by there is nothing they could do? Very frustrating. I called maintenance about the fridge and they started to instruct me to "move the fridge and look for..." I promptly stated I physically cannot move a fridge and that I was on vacation. I was then told the matter could be dealt with the next day. The maintenance man listened to me complain about the bugs as well and he assured me he would talk with the management team and get it all resolved. He came by the next day and fixed the issue with the fridge but we never heard back from the office about the bugs. I ended up cleaning up the bugs myself. The house is obviously old and loved, but again looks exactly like the listing with great location. But, the issues upon arrival and cleanliness concerns turned us off immediately. "
