"This was our first time visiting the Outer Banks and we chose to stay at Sea Scape. At first we were unsure as the property is older and although well-maintained, not as flashy as some other places on the island. However, we quickly fell in love with the place - so much so that we're already planning to return next summer. The property we got was a 2 bedroom that could sleep 6 (7 if someone wanted to take the extra large sofa). There was a full kitchen, stocked with all the utensils, drink and dinnerware you'd need to feed a large group. The bathrooms were big and the entire place was spotless. The location was also very convenient. It's down a little ways into Kitty Hawk and close to things like Walmart and Harris Teeter, but still far enough away to the main strip to feel a little less crowded. Check-in was easy and there were lots of amenities. My husband and I really enjoyed playing pool and shuffleboard in the game room. We were also able to get a few rounds of mini golf in that is located on site. Overall this was a fantastic experience and we highly recommend this place for a one-of-a-kind trip to OBX."

"The pier outside was wonderful. Hotel is right on the beach. Room was comfortable. Only complaint was shower was just okay. Water pressure was lower than I perfer."

We created some truly special memories with family during this stay and couldn’t be more grateful! "- location is outstanding - beds are good and comfortable - House is in rough shape. While one can understand the nature of an older home and the quirks which come along with it, neglect is another matter. - Window unit ACs which are not visible in pictures and while they bring welcome relief, they’re not sealed properly and allow a significant number of bugs into the rooms when a light is on - broken beach chairs and other debris are laying around the exterior of the house - Mold and dust visible in multiple areas - Bathrooms- whew. One is not available for sitting as it is too close to the bathtub and also has a window AC unit next to it, which contains a plug but there’s no outlet visible for it to be plugged into??? Pro tip: close the primary bathroom closet door as it gets very hot and wastes the AC, only open it when necessary. Makes a big difference. We are very understanding people but the condition of the house compared to the condition in the photos do not match. It’s a good little house with excellent beach access, just know it’s not quite as charming as the photos depict. Something others have stated in their reviews also. "
