"It is close to the highway so you can definitely hear highway noise (though it is Marfa and not Houston) and there is also a railroad not too far away so a train came through 6am. It IS camping and there were dogs around that were barking so you could hear them. The facilities were great though! We stayed in teepees that were awesome! "

"Power water and sewer! What more can you ask for in the middle of the desert! Nice little restaurant on site for breakfast and supper. Nice and quiet at night. Very peaceful. "

"The site was absolutely beautiful...lots of nature, birds, and deer, and the tent was great (as described). The only thing that made it a bit uncomfortable was that there was only one shared bathroom and cooking space. The people we were sharing space with were wonderful though, so it was still a great time!"

"Great location. Very close to the western entrance to BIBE. I stayed at an electric campsite with no water. There’s a men’s and women’s bathroom with a single shower in each. However, you cannot flush the toilet or brush your teeth without adding a quarter to the shower? And if the quarter just returns, you get no water. Tried to explain to housekeeping but was a miscommunication. The diner is awesome with very friendly staff and great food! Will bring my own shower next time I stay. "

"We loved the yurt. It was perfectly appointed with everything we could possibly need to make the stay very enjoyable and pleasant. The bed was extremely comfortable, the AC worked great, and the place was quiet. We were close to everything we wanted to do in Alpine and will definitely try to book there on return trips to the Big Bend."

"My daughter and I chose Silver Spur because it was very close to 1st Monday Trade Days, and we were very happy with our choice. Our cabin was clean, quiet and accommodated our needs for our overnight stay. Would definitely come back here."
