Location was perfect - so close to the station but also walkable distance to all the main sights. Only downside to our room was that there are no windows to open and the one window was frosted. "Loved my stay (in the female only dormitory) - the bedroom, shower rooms and toilets were soo clean, very impressive. Did not use the kitchen much, but was not able to find green teas or coffee - maybe I just did not know where to look. Met friendly fellow travellers . Front desk host helped me with my luggage (rooms are upstairs) This place is great, quiet, and located near Hida No Sato - BUT rather far from downtown Takayama.
