"This is a big hotel in Okuhida onsengo area, having amasing baths (onsen). We came for both the springs and the winter illumination experience and we had both. Loved it. The outdoor baths (shared) are great. We also tried hida meet as well as local hotel specialities, like turtle soup and caviar, highly recommended. I would love to come back one day."

"We loved our stay at Ryokan Sansui. The view of the mountains around the hotel were amazing with tri-colored foliage. The staff were also very lovely and kind. The food was also delicious and more than I had expected. Communication wasn't too easy, but the message would get across. The best part was, of course, the onsen (hot spring) experience. "Its proximity to the ropeway was the biggest catch. They have a true onsen but sadly people are naked and don’t wear clothing and modesty is not followed . The staff are great and speak good English. The breakfast is generous but doesn’t quite fit the foreign pallet . Recommendation is that enjoy the delicious bakery items in the ropeway eateries ."
