"I stayed in total seven nights at El Tigre de Santiago. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, but a quick jaunt away from downtown and really close to the Santiago market which is good for breakfast or lunch. The rooms were tidy and comfortable, the layout of the hostel easy and conducive to making friends if desired. They also have purified water to help stay hydrated. The staff were helpful as well, and very accommodating."

"Absolutely wonderful place.Everything was exactly as shown and more. Margarita,the property manager,answered all our questions and was very helpful. Daniela the owner is also bilingual and very helpful. You really need a rental car as the house is in a residential area and buses are a 25 minutes walk. You could also use a local driver. We did ,Alberto charged us 120 pesos per hour and drove us anywhere we wanted, we visited Merida, Progreso and the costal area. I highly recommend this...

"We really enjoyed it! Easy to find. Easy check in. Pool right out our 2 bdrm ‘villa’. Great outdoor seating area. Quiet. Lovely dogs and I miss them! Kitchen could have more utensils, oven mitts, small plates, small bowls,better microwave, kettle, things like that but it was fine. Had to pay extra for use of a bbq even though we brought our own charcoal. Pool was lovely. We found great restaurants near by. Easy to get to highways. Try the ceviche place near by. "

"The manager and staffs are really not good. My reservation is one bedroom apartment,they put a lot of Dimethyl sulfate in the apartment.Then they gave me a two bedroom apartment (because they can poison me from upstairs and downstairs,they can pour formic acid in water tank).They put formic acid and toxic chemicals on stove,put pesticide in pot,put formic acid in water tank.Every time when I came out they enter my apartment and spray a lot of formic acid (feel like a lot).They still spray formic...
