"The bedroom was well appointed with lovely Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries. There was large soft bath towels, tea making equipment, comfortable bed, TV, and nice lighting. Even though my room overlooked a busy road the room was very quiet I would definitely stay there again. "

Checked in and the staff were lovely and very friendly and welcoming. Next day for up and had breakfast, a freshly cooked English breakfast with cereals and pastries included. "If you can look past the area that the 'George Hotel' is in then you have a beautiful old building with a very interesting history behind it. Yes the property could do with some investment and renovation, but the building inside was clean and the rooms were clean. The staff were all very friendly. In its hayday this would have been a wonderful building"

When in the room there was the sound of water running and this never stopped, even after telling the reception and was told by them that the maintenance people would sort it out, but no, it kept on running! It was like water torture! So if room 317 is allocated to you, then insist on another room!! The breakfast was good and the staff serving were...

"for a 3 star hotel, the condition of the property seems run down, a renovation would be needed to make this place thrive, beds are well a bed, but not the best at all, night porter walking around woke us up 3 times in the night, not much sound proofing for the rooms "
