"We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Royal Oak. Food can be ordered in the evening until 8pm and the menu is extensive and good value. We received a friendly welcome at this family run inn. The full english breakfast was delicious and included in our room price which made it very good value. The bedroom was large with a fairly new ensuite shower and toilet. There are woods across the road where we walked our dog. 15 mins to Durham made it perfect for our needs. I am sure we will return. The...

"Had a lovely one night stay at Hedgefield House. It was very quiet and peaceful and was just what i was looking for, for a good night's sleep. They don't have breakfast available but that suited me as i only wanted to sleep there. The owner was very warm and welcoming and his cat Lilly was extremely friendly in the foyer which was another reason to go back! 😻"

"Property itself inside was clean and tidy - this property is obviously a work in progress and would love and visit again in say 6 months to see how far things have progressed.. rooms themselves are immaculate and definitely underpriced.. do need to look at the entry system for the property as front was not working and the back was erratic.. overall though was very impressed at the facilites on offer and location is superb.."

"Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. "Great stay at Stay Coastal. Team was great with help getting checked in. While check in on hotels.com says 3 the hotel says it is 4pm so plan accordingly. They were very kind letting us check in at 3 instead as I had a call to be on which was very kind. Super great stay in a great neighbourhood close to the metro. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in the area. "

"Arrived at the lodge and was greeted by 2 lovely hosts who showed us to our room and was very helpful and told us some very interesting facts about the lodges (an all girls school built before the ww2 I do believe ). The room was very clean and beautiful inside and the small window behind the bed overlooked the forest behind which was beautiful. Overall very quiet, the only bit of noise is people walking to and from their rooms as they are so close together but we was so tired we eventually...
