"This is a great place to stay for a night or longer. The host is fantastic! She even remembers everyone’s name! The house is spotless and has beautiful views from large windows. Her breakfasts for guests are epic! The castle is located a short walk, unfortunately up, to the top of the mountain. There is a paved walking trail that leads you to restaurants, bats and shopping. We had a wonderful time staying there in those comfortable rooms!"

"Excellent value for money. We stayed over to break up a longer journey north. Conveniently located just off the main route. We enjoyed the riverside walk with access close to the hotel. The evening meal was good and we particularly enjoyed the cooked breakfast the following morning. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Special thanks to the staff who were all very pleasant and friendly.Will definitely stay again when travelling this way."

"Bed wasnt bad, a little hard for my liking. Room was clean and I had a view of the wallace monument right out my window. Getting to the room is a chore as even though it is a newer and large hotel there are no elevators. Good tea selection. Served my needs. When I was leaving one of the workers saw me with all my bags, ran up and took my suitcase for me. That was much appreciated. Food from the restaurant is good. "

"This is such a lovely hotel and we’ll definitely use it again. From when we first stepped in until we left this morning, we were made to feel welcome. The food is a real treat (haggis bonbons and the fleet iron steak were to die for). The room was a touch of luxury, well stocked with tea and coffee, fresh milk in the fridge and a breakfast in the room. It was all spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. We’ve come away feeling like we’ve been spoilt! "
