The hotel had an attached lot for convenient parking and a restaurant on site. We had a delicious meal for dinner during our one night stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom could’ve been a bit cleaner.
Very basic hotel. Room was a bit tired and rundown. The bar/restaurant smelled of dirty cooking oil which was quite unpleasant and it lingered on hair and clothes.
Only stayed as a stop off on the way to our holiday destination so it served its purpose, but not worth the price.
Being Scotland, places can be old and that is the charm. The Inn could use some lights in the hallways for night time, but the beds were comfortable, it was quiet at night and there are beautiful fields behind it. The cook had been sick for a while, so the nice lady that checked us in suggested the Courie Inn in Killin, which was excellent. Killin is a great town about a 5-10 min drive away with a gorgeous river and really lovely places to eat, stay and even an old castle.
Beautiful hotel near Crianlarich. Stunning views from the hotel. Friendly and helpful host. Place had everything we needed and has an old world charm.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Beautiful location and nice people. Owners said 10 pm was quite time but stayed up until 11:30 talking very loudly which kept us awake. Don’t eat there; small menu with mediocre food. Eat in Killin. The room had a cracked window with peeling paint. The inn needs a fair amount of up keep. Not worth the money.
The Luib hotel is a gem in a beautiful location. The fish we had for dinner were superb, and the breakfast was exceptional but what made our stay extra special was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Would definitely stay again.
A quiet and comfortable place, our first time trying the Scottish food, and the breaksfast tasted so good. It was perfect for the family. Recommended 100%. Thanks
Sue & John run a really lovely place. Incredibly clean and well maintained, no old muggy smell. Rooms were cozy and beds comfortable.
Food for breakfast was also lovely and dinner especially. Good location for being able to get to the highlands not to far away as well as seeing local villages.
The countryside around the property was beautiful. The hotel was right on the roadside, so you could hear the cars driving by. Since there was no were else to eat close by, it was practical to be able to eat there, but the fare was simple with no fresh options, such as salads. Some of the mattresses sank in the middle and the coils could be felt. I tried to sleep on a pillow for this reason. The bathroom window was moldy and the moldy smell carried over into the room. Everything was well meant, but really needs updating and renovations. If you can afford to stay somewhere else, do that.
Old hotel and bar. Good sized full Scottish breakfast. Plaid carpets and old wood staircases. Be careful with SatNav as it will take you to an empty hotel closer to Crianlarich. If driving from Crianlarich keep going past the closed hotel on the right and you will find Luib Hotel on your left about 1/2 mile further on from where SatNav says it should be.
Luib hotel was a convenient stop on our journey west. There was no hot water in the bathroom in the morning apart from an electric shower. Bacon, sausage, egg and tomato and toast were the only breakfast options.
Really great hotel. Staff were very welcoming, room was cute with a view over the fields. Bed was comfy. Tea, coffee and biscuits in room with a kettle.
Central heating in room and easily controlled.
Had the evening meal which had a choice of about 6 items all priced at £13 apart from the steak which was £19 but was huge. Chef was excellent, I had freshly causing fish in bread crumbs with chips and it was gorgeous. Breakfast was a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast and again was perfect.
The staff were the real charm of this place with everyone engaging and working hard. There was no wifi as there were issues but had enough 4g signal to use my data for downloading stuff. But you are in the middle of a valley in the Highlands so to be expected but did not detract from the stay.
Comfy beds but very limited food. Not soundproofed
Situated in a beautiful location, the beds were very comfortable and staff friendly. However, the plumbing isn't great as the shower varied between a scalding dribble and a cold flood whenever anybody else in the hotel turned a tap. However, the biggest problem for us was the very limited menu and there are no alternative places to eat nearby. There are no starters or desserts and a choice of just five main courses, four for us as one had sold out. Nothing at all for vegetarians. The cooked breakfast was good quality but there were no cereals, juices or fruit. It was great to be able to open the window fully in the room but it was the start of the midge season so we left it shut. Not well soundproofed.
