"Nice hotel, well maintained. Wonderful location as just on riverside. 1 km distance from bentota beach. Only few things are missing, just like... restaurant and swimming pool. For food they arrange from nearby restaurants. But owner is quite helpful, n quite bigger room size and bathrooms. If can adjust with above requirements...then its the best place to live in bentota, its quite chill and silent...so that you can enjoy yourself."

"Beautiful Geoffrey Bowa- designed boutique hotel set in a beautifully tended garden. This is our second stay & it didnt disappoint. The staff remembered us after 4 years! Very good service, excellent breakfasts & evening meal. There is a train line running along the bottom of the garden and the train clanks along it every hour or so. We loved the quirkiness of it. "I had one of my best stays in Sri Lanka at Sam’s! The host was sooo friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, AC and WiFi worked well, bathrooms were big and water was hot! Absolutely amazing stay for the price, I was worried about everyone saying the street was loud but it wasn’t bad at all when we went to bed around 1030-11pm, everything quieted down. Overall my favorite stay in Sri Lanka, highly recommend staying here "

"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

"This hotel has breakfast included (verry good) it is walking distance to the most beautiful beach I've seen so far no river to cross nothing. The train station Bentota is 50 metres away next to Coco's restaurant for fresh fish and cold beer ! Staying a few days here is a must !"

"It was wonderful stay for our family of 5. You just cant beat the beach location!! Also the room, though not fancy, was spacious and clean. We had lots of room for the kids to spread out and sleep/play. The food was yummy and the owners truly cared if we were happy with our stay. We would gladly go back again!"

"We loved our stay at 18 Faces. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the room was beautiful, amazing breakfast, a free shuttle to the fort and it was very well priced. "

"Srimali's Residence has plenty of potential but it's the small things the owners need to look at. On the positive side, the rooms are big, as are the bathrooms, the location is fine, ten minutes walk to the beach and a couple of minutes to the bus stop into Galle, pleasant surroundings with the occasional monkey sighting and plenty of stripy squirrels. Breakfast was OK and the family friendly. When we arrived only two of our three rooms had a towel. Safes were on the tables but not secured so...

"Very friendly staff and helpful manager. Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing. Room (deluxe) very large and provided extra bed for kids. Short 10 min walk to galle fort. Room very clean and great housekeeping. Pool towels provided. Some minor maintenance issues could do with addressing around pool (tile grouting). "

"The hotel was really beautiful and our room incredibly spacious and well appointed with a fabulous balcony with views out to sea. It is located in the heart of Galle Fort with easy access to all points of the fort and to a couple of beaches. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff could not have been more accommodating helping us to arrange a cooking class and arranging a visit from a barber. We had a really excellent time. "

Cinnamon Bentota Beach – Signature Selection

5/5 Excellent

"We arrived at the hotel late at night, but was greeted with a great surprise that our room was upgraded to a corner suite! (as other rooms were fully booked on that day) The view from the room was fantastic with river, pools, sea views on the both sides. Also there were Dilmar tea prepared in the room which we enjoyed so much during our stay! The highlight for me was the breakfast - the restaurant was so beautiful, and the food was amazing with lots of Sri Lankan and other food options! Very accessible to the peaceful beach and we enjoyed the sunset on the beach bed too. I would really love to stay longer in this resort, so would definitely be back soon!"
