"This cute hotel was on the main road in Puerto Viejo, however, it sits back so you don’t hear all the noise from the traffic or restaurants. Great location. It rained most of our trip so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our 2nd day some little bugs appeared in the bathroom, there were a lot; we called and they came right up and sprayed. We had a cute balcony outside our room; I think they all have patios or balconies. I loved sitting outside the room hearing the nature when the sun would come up or at sunset. We added the breakfast pkg; mom had the American breakfast daily and I had the Pinto; good food. I will definitely be back to the city and the hotel. There’s no other restaurant on site but tons of places to eat within a short walk, Uber ride or Tuktuk. "

"We stayed at Casa Bella for 8 nights (April 2025). We traveled as a party of 8 (4 adults, 4 teens). As will be evident with this review, this was the trip of a lifetime for us, we can’t wait to come back!If you are contemplating travel to Costa Rica, I would encourage you to alter your plans and prioritize travel to “Caribe” or Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. If you are traveling from the major airports, like San Jose, it’s a 4–5-hour transport which you can arrange simply and affordably. Don’t be scared off by that distance, it is a beautiful drive and not a hassle in any regard. Lots of resources to read about the beauty, people, history, culture, pace of life which differs quite a bit from the rest of the country. The owner/host of the property is Erinn. She is incredible - you can have as little or as much contact with her as you desire during your stay. She’s local and available should you have any needs and provides a wealth of resources for restaurants, excursions, transportation or any number of questions you may have. She also is incredibly well connected with any contacts you may need while staying at Casa Bella for out of ordinary requests. She’s extremely responsive and hospitable of the needs of her guests. She connected us to a contact (Tune) who helped us with transport throughout the week and we couldn’t have been more pleased or gotten by without Tune. (Read more in the comments)"

"This property has beautifull gardens and the common areas are extremely clean. The pool was amazing and they clean it every day.The daily breakfast was great and with variety. Overall a great stay."
