"Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!"

"The design of the studio is quite unique and it took some time to adjust and appreciate the architectural uniqueness of the design. It makes one feel as if they may be in a submarine under the ocean and has a beautiful view of the lagoon. The shower was a great size, with plenty of hot water, but the window was also in need of repair. The picture in the advertisement of the view is actual. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. Unfortunately, in this case VRBO site merely redirects you elsewhere which is often inconvenient.
