"Hotel and grounds lovely, very peaceful. I booked a table for the 1762 menu and when we sat down to dinner we were told it was not available. I made a huge mistake booking the wrong dates to visit the follies i had even enquired at the hotel but they failed to mention they were not open on the dates i booked. Staff were great though especially Dominica xx "

"We stayed on a very quiet evening mid January for dinner, bed and breakfast. I imagine the hotel would be very different on a busy day in summer when it was full. We had a fantastic relaxing stay. Great shower, comfortable bed and spacious room. We enjoyed our cooked breakfast - other items were limited due to how quiet the hotel was I think. "

"Tucked away just off the busy Wyle Cop and therefore instantly accessible to the wonderful offerings of Shrewsbury, Darwin's Townhouse is comfortable, clean and quiet. And when I say comfortable, the bed is great, had a brilliant night's sleep. We didn't stay for breakfast so I can't comment on that, but have heard good things so we'll save that for next time!"

"Excellent location, less than 10 minute walk from station and very central for shops. My room was not overlooking main street, no noise at all from outside, even though Friday night and room was lovely and warm with adjustable radiator. Bed comfy and bathroom modern with lovely shower. Nice tea and coffee tray with hot chocolate and biscuits. Lovely breakfast with delicious pastries, yoghurt, cut and whole fruit, muesli and some mini cereal boxes. Tea selection they even had Darjeeling and the...
