"Lovely period hotel with mostly period furniture. Very welcoming and helpful staff. I was staying on my own but there was such a good friendly atmosphere I didn’t feel “on my own”. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas."

"On arrival, easy to park. Went into the front bar area to check in. Greeted and checked in asked if we wanted breakfast we asked for prices and told various options available, but not forthcoming with options. ( A menu would of been helpful). Directed to the accommodation which was back outside, next door. "Very warm, friendly welcome (The snow machine at the entrance was a nice seasonal touch). All the staff were polite, attentive and helpful. The restaurant food was excellent.
