"My husband and I thoroughly researched properties in Uvita while planning our trip and are so grateful we found Casa Bambu. This jewel exceeded our expectations! The road up is no joke. We love to offroad so the 3 bumpy, curvy miles wasn't a concern for us but make sure you rent a 4x4 with low range and make the drive part of your adventure it's 15 to 20 minutes through the jungle each way. Casa Bambu is surrounded by lush trees and tropical plants with a clear view of La Ballena below. You feel completely secluded, although you may hear the buzz of saws working on properties nearby along with an occasional motorcycle blending in with the Cicadas. We woke up every morning to Aracari, Toucans and other tropical birds as we enjoyed coffee next to the pool. We ate in most nights to take in the sunset as we grilled fresh shrimp and ahi on the bbq. We'll return again to Casa Bambu for more Pura Vida! "

"We arrived in town and were graciously met up by Josue, who led us to this magnificent property. The owner, Eric, had previously given us a list of resources on things to do and see while in the area. They were all great choices and we had a fantastic time experiencing them. From nice dining, secluded beaches, refreshing waterfalls and roaming on ATV’s, this area has it all.The house sits on top of a hill with breathtaking views of the whale tale. The large infinity pool and stunning sunset views were surreal. The house is very roomy and spacious and has a great overall layout. The kitchen has all top end appliances and was perfect for us as a group. We stocked up on groceries and cooked some great dinners. One day we took the quads to get some fresh fish from a neighboring town. We then brought it back to the house and cooked it up. It was one of our best meals on the trip!The detached unit is spectacular as well as it overlooks the rainforest from which we could sit and watch nature at its finest. Having coffee in the morning while sitting in the small private pool was so refreshing and a great way to start the day. From Toucans swooping around the tree tops, frogs making their nightly sounds, Agouti animals roaming the property, it was an amazing experience. Our friend, who is a bird enthusiast, was overwhelmed with the different types of bird species that were in the area. We never knew what we would see next!I highly recommend renting this house. "We loved our stay and would definitely stay all over again.The view is amazing! My favorite part was waking up early and sitting in the screen porch and listening to the jungle wake up.The house was an excellent set up for a group of 4 couples and 1 child. We were all extended family. The pictures are very accurate to the reality.We saw 1 sloth, 1 howler monkey, and 3 spider monkeys from the house. The bed was comfortable and the showers had plenty of hot water. There were a few negatives:The cleanliness was just okay. We felt comfortable, but a lot of the details have been neglected. Some of the pieces weren't in the best of conditions. Lamps by the bed had been broken And glued back together. The couch was badly stained and not vacuumed. They don't have a vacuum, so I wiped the couch down with microfiber cloths. Having said all this we would stay again. The sliding doors all opened and closed very smoothly. "

"This is the second time we have stayed at this house, but first time with Tom and Christine (property manager) and it was nothing short of amazing, again! They were super helpful with accommodating us, answering questions, and helping with anything we needed. The house itself has the best views, it is properly stocked for everything you might need to cook, or, go to the beach. We love the outdoor grill and dining area as we eat dinner and enjoy the sunset. The pool is large enough for our family to be in it together and enjoy it. We absolutely love this house and this area. In the mornings we sat and watched the sunrise from the lounge chairs, saw the coati in the yard, toucans in the trees, and many more! You will not regret this location or these amazing property managers! We will be back!"

"Hotel was nice property with good location in Uvita. Next door was a mix of eating places (Uvita Gastro Park). The staff was very nice and helping. The hotel appeared to be newer property. Also secure parking."

"We loved our stay in Uvita. There was so much room for 3 couples to enjoy. Photos do not even capture the beauty of the place. Our 4WD handles the steep driveway well. Licho the property manager was super helpful and friendly. It rained most of our trip and the covered areas outside were wonderful for dinners protected from the elements. I will definitely be back.
