"Nice property just just minutes up the hill from Uvita. We had rented a Rave 4 and spent a few days in Santa Teresa and Arenal before going to Uvita. Got a message from Andrea saying to make sure our vehicle had a 4 wheel drive button or it wouldn't make it up the hill. Decided to change vehicles to a Toyata Land Cruiser Prado. Good thing we did. Not sure the Rave 4 would have made it up the hill! Excellent property, very private, and a great Ocean view. Loren, the property manager, was very responsive. Water pressure was an issue a couple times, but Andrea gave us instructions on how to switch from city water to water tanks up the hill from the property. We enjoyed eating at many of the local sodas in town. Would highly recommend this property."

"We arrived in town and were graciously met up by Josue, who led us to this magnificent property. The owner, Eric, had previously given us a list of resources on things to do and see while in the area. They were all great choices and we had a fantastic time experiencing them. From nice dining, secluded beaches, refreshing waterfalls and roaming on ATV’s, this area has it all.The house sits on top of a hill with breathtaking views of the whale tale. The large infinity pool and stunning sunset views were surreal. The house is very roomy and spacious and has a great overall layout. The kitchen has all top end appliances and was perfect for us as a group. We stocked up on groceries and cooked some great dinners. One day we took the quads to get some fresh fish from a neighboring town. We then brought it back to the house and cooked it up. It was one of our best meals on the trip!The detached unit is spectacular as well as it overlooks the rainforest from which we could sit and watch nature at its finest. Having coffee in the morning while sitting in the small private pool was so refreshing and a great way to start the day. From Toucans swooping around the tree tops, frogs making their nightly sounds, Agouti animals roaming the property, it was an amazing experience. Our friend, who is a bird enthusiast, was overwhelmed with the different types of bird species that were in the area. We never knew what we would see next!I highly recommend renting this house. "This is the second time we have stayed at this house, but first time with Tom and Christine (property manager) and it was nothing short of amazing, again! They were super helpful with accommodating us, answering questions, and helping with anything we needed. The house itself has the best views, it is properly stocked for everything you might need to cook, or, go to the beach. We love the outdoor grill and dining area as we eat dinner and enjoy the sunset. The pool is large enough for our family to be in it together and enjoy it. We absolutely love this house and this area. In the mornings we sat and watched the sunrise from the lounge chairs, saw the coati in the yard, toucans in the trees, and many more! You will not regret this location or these amazing property managers! We will be back!"

"Beautiful property! The view from the deck is unbelievable. Everything is very well maintained and modern. The drive up the mountain is an adventure but not scary at all as long as you have four wheel drive! Location is central to Uvita once you get off the mountain and convenient to dining and shopping and the beach!"

"We loved our stay in Uvita. There was so much room for 3 couples to enjoy. Photos do not even capture the beauty of the place. Our 4WD handles the steep driveway well. Licho the property manager was super helpful and friendly. It rained most of our trip and the covered areas outside were wonderful for dinners protected from the elements. I will definitely be back. "This is the second time we have stayed at Casa Toucan and it was truly wonderful, just like the first time. There’s so many great things about this home, we love it. The house itself has all the modern conveniences you would want. Fully staffed kitchen, living room for watching tv or just reading, a dining area that overlooks incredible views and sunsets, two private bedrooms with private bathrooms. There is a spacious outdoor area to enjoy nature or take a swim in a private pool. What we really loved was while having all of these things available, we watched morpho butterflies, toucans, an owl eyed butterfly, macaws and parrots all hangout or flying by. We woke to howler monkeys singing every morning! You can’t find that just anywhere! Lynn and Rob have always been gracious hosts, so readily available to help. Rolando, the property manager is so quick to respond I swear he must have his phone on him at all times. Rolando is kind and very accommodating with any questions! We are so grateful to him. We love it here. We will be back!"
