"We booked our week at La Libulela well in advance to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary with our two sons and daughters-in-law. When we saw the pictures of the house and its location overlooking the Pacific on the south coast of Costa Rice on VRBO, we were sure this was the place we wanted to be for our anniversary. We arrived at La Libulela in the early evening after flights from three different places, and then took an almost 4hour drive in pouring rain most of the way. Needless to say we were exhausted, but we were met by Licho at an agreed gas station, who then guided us to the house. We definitely needed our 4x4 SUV to get there, but upon arrival Licho's wife, Darling, had (by pre-arrangement) the most delicious traditional Costa Rican dinner prepared for us. She cooked for us 5 nights of our 7 night stay. All were special. The house, pool, and grounds were even beyond our expectations, which were very high. Having three king-sized beds in our three beautiful en-suite bedrooms was wonderful. Our week flew by, with walks on the beach, ATV adventures, coffee farm tour, seeing a mother and baby finback whales, water falls exploration with a sloth sighting, relaxing in and by the pool part of every day day, visits to the house by a large white-face monkey family, as well as toucans and macaws, anniversary dinner at a restaurant right on the ocean, and most especially the warmth, welcome and friendship of our hosts, Licho and Darling. Truly a magical week."

Trina and Jorge were amazing and even (for a small fee) picked up some groceries for us and had those for us upon arrival! The villa is absolutely gorgeous and well appointed with everything you could possibly need! We are anxious to return!! "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Nublar! It is a gorgeous property, situated just a few kilometers up a steep mountain road from the main coastal town of Uvita. The property feels very remote and secluded, while being just a short drive into town, which was perfect for our family vacation with teenagers. It is very well maintained and had plenty of room for our family of 7, two adults and 7 teenagers. The main house had ample room for all of us to hang together, but everyone also had their own space with the other two smaller guest houses. The main house's giant sliding glass doors can be totally opened up to the outside forest as it is fully screened in, while the bedrooms are airconditioned for comfortable sleeping. Landon and Forest were very attentive to all of our needs. They responded quickly to any concerns and set up multiple activities for us including parasailing and massages at the house. Yolanda and Wendy gave the best massages on the big screened in porch with a view out to the rainforest. I highly recommend their massages! We all enjoyed swimming in the pool and exploring the surrounding rainforest. We saw monkeys and tropical birds from our porch. My kids enjoyed taking the path in the backyard down to the creek and following it down to the Uvita waterfall where they went over the falls like a waterslide! Overall, this property was amazing!"

"I find it hard to describe, I’ll try. This beautiful space is located on the side of a mountain overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We were awakened each day by a new experience. The first day a giant iguana and a raccoon stopped by. The next morning Toucans and parrots surrounded the trees that swallowed our space. The restaurants and bakery nearby kept us nourished. Los Luarales restaurant was a hit. Everything else was a bonus. The 4 wheeling, trips to the beach (not far away) the waterfalls, and of the monkeys made this trip spectacular. Thanks again Pura Uvita Vacation home!!!!!!"
