"If you are expecting 5* luxury then this might not be the place for you. However if just a quick stopover it’s not too bad at all. The rooms are functional and I personally found the bed very comfortable. This is a basic room at a value price, if you are paying for a cheap room, then expect a cheap room. Personally it was fine both price wise and comfort wise and for an overnight stay I would use again. "

"A lovely overnight stay in a very comfortable room with a stunning view across the bay. Enjoyed a very tasty breakfast with very good choices in the morning. The property is in a great location for ferry passengers arriving on foot, being close to the ferry with great seafront paths and pavements to walk along."

"Clean and tidy room. had everything you could need but no staff on site during our stay and would stay again. no breakfast offer (obviously as no staff) but all else was good and would stay again. Good location for town shops etc."

"Like everything except bathroom as it was outside. Some reason owner put us in the upstairs room which was a part of the loft conversation. Not very comfortable "

"The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Appreciated having oat milk and milkless butter provided for my dairy free girlfriend. Was also kind to let us keep our baggage and have a later check out."

"dog friendly, staff a bit inexperienced as breakfast was not set up this may be due to time of year and not usual staff member as l was the only guest, room and facilities need a spruce up. "

"It was clean good side room ,shower and. Bit dodgy, no one there if you had problems had to phone , some one came in room every day but did not replace any thing "

"This property is a dump!! When we arrived it had not been cleaned from the previous rental. It is in a run down neighborhood in a run down building with many steps from the street to the unit. The bathroom was in poor condition aside from the cleanliness issue. Find something else, you have been warned!!"

"This place is for people who love peace and quiet and privacy, we do. Noise from the road is almost minimal, perhaps if you sit in the front garden but we spent all time in the back garden watching sunrises, ships passing by, listening to bird songs early morning, fishing from the private beach. Location worked well for us, we used our car to get around, nearest supermarket is in Dunoon about 15 minutes drive away. The property is well maintained, decorated, comfortably furnished, heating, WiFi...

Nostalgic Trip to the Isle of Bute - November 2024

"My sister and I had a really lovely stay at the Glenburn Hotel over the weekend and it was fabulous to see it open again after the new owners re-opened it earlier this year. A truly iconic hotel with lots of character, stunning views over the harbour, lots of history, and much to offer. We will be returning to the hotel again in 2025 when further refurbishment works during Dec to February 2025 are finished. All the hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to Michael, Niall and Debbie in the main reception and also to Thomas who looked after us during our stay which was acknowledged and appreciated. Good luck with ongoing renovations which will be appreciated by a future guests staying at the hotel. "

Fab hotel

"This hotel is brilliant, staff are great, rooms are nice we was on 3rd floor as they have been recently decorated, they have a live singer on every night! This is not advertised enough round the hotel, we found this on 2nd night the live singers are fab! Will be staying again the grounds around it are stunning too! You get what you pay for and more I loved this hotel "
