Lovely staff in hotel and restaurant.Food was good,but spoiled with the waiting time from the kitchen.Our server Jack was excellent and apologised to us several times for the wait.Also Restaurant entrance was not manned,so a queue soon built up. Lovely hotel on the coast. Stayed here overnight with dinner in the hotel which was delicious. Used the pool and steam room, a tad crowded but enjoyable. Hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. Staff were excellent, we did have a small issue with noise from the room next door (a child with learning disability I think), we explained this to staff and asked if it would be possible to move to another room which they were able to facilitate without issue. Breakfast was lovely, good selection of cereal, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, juice and smoothies, plus a full Scottish breakfast.

Checked into my room to he told that I wouldn’t be staying in the room advertised, therefore no separate living room / sleeping area. I was then informed it was a problem with Expedia’s description of the room rather sizes and photographs rather than the hotels fault, who now couldn’t offer me what I believed I’d booked. This situation shouldn’t be put onto the customer, it’s for the hotel and Expedia to sort out, it’s false advertising. Plus I’ve literally stayed in this hotel this same calendar year, and it was in the family room using Expedia therefore the hotels story didn’t add up one bit. I slept on the pull out bed, the bed linen was absolutely filthy and stained. Not ideal. The majority of staff were excellent and accommodating. The main hotel and restaurants are lovely, as are the surroundings. I’d possibly return but this experience has been off putting.

We stayed for one night for our anniversary, we stayed in the signature room first floor over looking the sea, the room its self was big and clean, couple of minor issues, no thermostat in the room to control room temp in the day and age thats a must for me, had to open the window through the night that also led to another issue, building works were being done right outside our room and with window being open they woke us up just after 8am with the noise, large modern bath in room that drained its self even with the spring loaded plug being pressed down, minor issues but considering the price paid (£200) I'd expect better

Family took my 85 year old mother to celebrate her birthday. Food in the Orangery was average. My mother was looking forward to using the pool and jacuzzi, but the jacuzzi water was cold therefore she was unable to use it. She was looking forward to that experience most of all and we were all disappointed in her birthday experience at Seamill.
