"Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. "The room and bathroom were very nice and clean although the room was quite cold in the evening but nice and warm in the morning, and the bed felt extra cold taking ages to get warm. The bath towels were a bit on the small side and quite discoloured. Lovely building. Didn’t use the grounds. "

"The property is clean, tidy and comfortable. The little communal kitchen area is a very good idea for making food or sitting in while eating a takeaway. There is plenty of tea and coffee in the room, and also a little fridge for storing milk, drinks, food etc. Have stayed before, hence why I returned again. "We have stayed before and were really pleased that this stay was just as good. We couldn't fault anything, from the well thought out comfy room to the great breakfast and really friendly and helpful owners and staff. The Royal Oak is seriously good value for money. We will be back!"

"Beautiful room, very friendly hosts. Comfortable bed. Biscuits and chocolates in the room were a nice surprise. Lovely breakfast. Probably only downside was it wasn't that warm, but there was a plug-in heater in the bedroom. "

"Daniele and Glenda made us very welcome and were always very attentive. Arranged our evening meal at short notice. Plenty of informative leaflets for people to take to plan their outings. "

"The apartment was a bit tired looking but otherwise fine for one night. Much cheaper than other apartments around. Location couldn't be better - right next to Digital nightclub. As for the deposit, previous reviews did irk me but I did get it refunded by 10 working days. Make sure to send them your bank details on arrival. Also their 26+ age policy really ought to be made clear on the listing. "
