"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. "Thank you for an amazing stay. A great place with plenty of things to entertain people of all ages. The fact that it was dog friendly too was the icing on the cake. I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Great communication from the owner throughout and we appreciated the welcome pack - it was so thoughtful. "

"Bit difficult to find initially. Worth stating entrance is opposite Causey Arch Inn. Once there, cottages are are lovely, clean tidy and everything you need for a short break.Walking to Tanfield, the railway on a weekend"

"The property was large and was a good base to use being about 20 minutes from a beach and about 10 minutes walk from a park with swings etc for the grandchildren. It was about 5 minutes drive from an Aldi and Lidl. "

"A comfortable well equipped cottage in a beautiful farm setting. I have mobility issues so parking outside with a ramp to the door, no steps and stairs, and bedrooms with ensuite facilities was ideal. A no-pets policy and hypoallergenic bedding solved an allergy health issue and the beds were very comfortable. The sitting room has access to the garden and views over fields where sheep were sometimes grazing. The obliging host quickly dealt with a heating problem so we very cosy."

"Just so comfortable, brilliant layout and amenities. Close to City, countryside, East coast beaches and local pubs. Fabulously safe for dogs (as long as they are used to noise from near neighbours in similar holiday home complex)"

"The cottage was lovely, clean and cosy. But the cottage its self is very remote . You need to get your supplies before you get there as there is nothing in the cottage has in a welcome pack . The hot tub was only luke warm and was never checked all weekend. Which wasnt good ! I was expecting it to be hot / warm . The cottage could do with suppling a few essentials like salt , pepper , oil and more than 1 toilet roll for 2 toilets . But the cottage itself was nice, clean and well presented,...

"Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and was spotlessly clean. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend a quiet break in County Durham. Say hi to the llamas!"

Just a few minutes by car into Barnard Castle - Barnard Castle was such a pleasant surprise. Fab meal in the Three Horseshoes. We loved the area with the river to walk alongside and the impressive attractions in the area - like High Force, Bowes Museum (wow!) and Beamish. We will visit again."

"Arriving at the Cottage and walking in through the side door we knew we were in for real treat in this immaculate two bed Cottage, nestled in this sleepy village you couldn’t ask for more . "Cute little cottage in a quiet little town, down a little side street away from the main road, suited our needs. We stayed n December so the cottage although small took a fair time to warm up , underfloor heating downstairs was nice but the fire needed to be on aswell to heat the cottage toa decent temp. I thought the heaters upstairs were too small to heat both the bedroom and the bathroom. Dogs are allowed in the property but not allowed on furniture, nice touch was a little basket with...

"Apartment was lovely was a few chips and stains but to be expected for the price! Lovely receptionist very helpful. Parking easy and accessible. "

"Great apartment in great house. Everything was comfortable and clean. It had a little kitchenette which we didn't use but it would have been useful for a longer stay. I have marked you down 1 star on Communications as I could find the information regarding check out time on the last day and it was hard to find it online, it said 11am in one place and 12 noon another. I had to go to the Holiday Inn checkout next door and ask them in person. "
