"My friend and I very much enjoyed our stay. Patricia the host was very accomodating. The house was laid out in a way where we each slept well in separate bedrooms, but could lounge in the front room. The outdoor patio had a fantstic view! Close to swimming and a fun cafe and an easy walk to the marina and shops. We could even use a washer, which helped. The only challenge was for my friend who has a bad knee, so the entry stairs were hard for her. But would be fine for most people! I would stay...

"We had a wonderful week at this home and exploring Pico. The views are stunning and almost every morning there was a rainbow. Helena was very helpful with ideas of must sees and restaurants. All of which were great. It was nice to be able to walk to Magma restaurant when we were too tired from hiking to cook."

"We traveled with a large group and this was the only home that could accommodate all 7 of us. The owners reside in an adjacent home on the property. They were there if we needed anything but did not intrude. We had access to a washing machine, and the home has a bathtub which several of us enjoyed. The views from the property are incredible and you have a large outdoor area with a picnic table and BBQ. Definitely a rustic home with lots of old world features. It was challenging to cool down but...

"We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay, using the house as a base to climb Mt Pico, enjoy a whale watch and a wine tour. The host was very helpful with advice and helped arrange the wine tour and driver. The view out the back is beyond gorgeous and it’s a perfect deck to eat all your meals."

"What a great host and the setting was absolutely heavenly. We came so my wife and daughters experience Pico as it was the home of my Avo and Ava who where from Lages do Pico and they get to know there heritage. We will return again for a much longer stay and the people of the Pico are warm and friendly will to assist. The food was spectacular and it brought me back to my childhood growing up in a Azorean Portuguese family in California. Thank you and my Gods Blessings be with all in the Pico."

"This house is great. Located mid-island, it is convenient for travel all over the island. Shopping is nearby and some of the best restaurants are easy to reach. We strongly recommend Magma (just about 1 mile from house), Cinco (located in Madalena) and Mar Sushi Terrace (located in Lajes). All of these restaurants are really good, and priced properly. "A perfect house for our family. Myself, my sister, daughter and son in law had plenty of space, 3 separate bedrooms, 3 separate bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen and a store around the corner for supplies. Wonderful outdoor space. Gated property. Communication with Zelda was a breeze. She was very helpful explaining how appliances worked and places to explore. We loved our stay!!!! Thank you!!!"

"Loved the house,loved the location. Miguel was quick to address any questions we had. My only criticism is that there was no comfortable place to sit. We encountered terrible downpours and were confined to the house for an afternoon. There was no sofa or even a comfortable chair to sit and read a book. However, saying that, I would not dissuade you from staying in this lovely home."
