"Driving up driveway to property, this is stunning! A beautiful palm-tree lined drive that takes you up to a gorgeous manor surrounded by rich vegetation. The check in was easy with an English speaking person at the desk Parking was easy and close. When entering, the architecture was just as described with grand ceilings, inviting spaces with comfortable seating areas. "This property consists of 3 relatively new cabins located inside a secure gate beside to the main road that circles the beautiful Orosí valley. The cabins are surrounded by greenery including a giant stand of bamboo and orange trees from the family’s orchard, which smell delightful! The road is quite busy during the day but very quiet at night and we had no difficulty sleeping. The cabins themselves block most of the outside sound. There was plentiful hot water for the shower from the rooftop...

Irazu Volcano is a short trip from San Jose, Costa Rica. The drive up to the volcano's crater lookout takes you through some beautiful scenery around the Cartago area. Worth the drive on its own. As we ascended the volcano, the cloud cover moved in and totally blocked everything from view. They only moved out long enough to make our way to the view points and snap a couple pictures. Then it clouded back in. The volcano's summit is at 3432 meters (11,260 ft) and they say that on a clear day you can see the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean.
