"I wanted a quiet time. This hotel had it all, bar, restaurant and very friendly staff! They arrange our transportation and gave us tips for us to enjoy our time. 10/10 recommend. Staying here is a must. The views cannot be better! "

"El Hotel es estilo colonial muy lindo y limpio. Tuvimos una increíble vista al Lago de Atitlan. Es importante mencionar que en la habitación no hay plancha, refrigerador ni cajilla de seguridad; aunque la cajilla no es tan importante, el personal es muy honrado. Mi esposo dejó su argolla de matrimonio y al regresar hicieron la limpieza y ahí estaba su argolla, también al salir; olvide unos artículos y salieron a dejármelos. Muchas gracias!! "

"Felt like home not a hotel"

"The hostel is located right at the base of Santa Cruz which made it super easy to grab the lanchas. My friend and I stayed in a private suite which was really nice and cozy. The grounds of the hostel itself are stunning and so relaxing! They host family-style dinner's every night which was so wholesome and was a great way to meet new people. The only cons I will say is that there's only wifi in the common spaces, and wifi doesn't reach the rooms. Other than that, I loved my stay! "

"Beautiful spot with spectacular lake and volcano view. Fairly well equipped kitchen. 3 large bedrooms - one upstairs with beautiful morning sun. Easy transport with local boat driver, though a bit expensive. Very accommodating to our changes in schedule. "

"Very charming hotel overlooking the lake. Lovely landscaping made for beautiful outdoor spaces to lie in a hammock, sit by the water, etc. Our room was clean and nice, but the bathroom and sheets could have been better. Breakfast was good - you get some options of traditional Guatemalan, more American style, pancakes, yogurt/granola etc. It is built into the hillside over the lake so there is some walking up and down to get around, but the staff kindly helped us with our luggage. No TVs in our room so would recommend bringing books / a deck of cards. We enjoyed using the free kayaks but were a little disappointed the hot tub was an additional charge. The area is in between San Juan and San Pedro - it's an easy walk into San Juan by a path down by the water, and easy to walk into San Pedro too but it's along a main road without sidewalks. Tuktuks are cheap and easy ways to get around, as are water taxis."
