"Wonderful stay at Refugio Lodge. Beds were comfy, rooms clean. Lodge is beautifully decorated. All of the staff I met were so gracious, kind and helpful. Augustin communicated with me via WhatsApp starting the day before my arrival to make sure everything went smoothly. He also provided detailed information on local restaurants and things to do and even arranged a driver for me to get to my next destination. "Hotel is well maintained. Rooms are so small that there is no room for your luggage or chair to sit in. They post that the room will sleep four. No way. These are full size beds because two queen size beds would leave even less room. They gave us two rooms overlooking the busy road all the while we were the only guest. The motorcycles without mufflers were the worst. Why they chose to not but us in quieter rooms that were available is reason enough for me to not recommend staying here."
