"This was more of an apartment arrangement versus an actual hotel. You had to get into the building with a code we didn’t have (thankfully someone let us in) and access the registration desk on the mezzanine level. The room they reserved for us was on the fourth floor without elevator access. Thankfully there was another room available on the mezzanine level. It was very spacious and clean. The location is great for walking around the Duomo. "

"We arrived at this hotel and we could not believe our eyes! The building is an old convent/monastery and the rooms have all been modernised with very colourful furniture and decorated in a very unique way! The room and bathroom were quite large and they were very clean and well maintained. "The property is very clean and modern. The room size was great as was the bathroom with a lovely big walk in shower. Our room was on the front of the property which had a direct view of the Tower of Pisa. Absolutely outstanding. The staff were very polite and the concierge spoke good English. We arrived too early to check in but we're allowed to leave our luggage with them free of charge so we could enjoy the area a little before checking in. "This property was overall pretty good, the room was large the bed was massive but there were a few minor details that let it down. The toilet flush wasn't the best, the windows in the bathroom and bedroom were hard to open/close. and the bathroom door was hard to close. I feel like if theses small issues were resolved and there was a smart tv they could probably charge another 30-50 on top of what i paid. And I would have been happy to pay that."

"This is a nice little cozy bread and breakfast place with great location. Service is excellent and the interior is very beautiful. The only draw back it has no elevator but it's only one floor up. There's no concierge 24/7 but they are pretty responsive beyond office hours. Staff are pretty generous with their time and very helpful."

"We spent four delightful nights at Corte Calzaiuoli and would highly recommend it. The room was beautifully appointed with plenty of space and a dramatic en-suite. Although looking over the busy Via Calzaiuoli the soundproofing was excellent. Breakfast was delicious with juices and eggs to order and a wide range of sweet and savoury items. Location was superb with all the major sites on the doorstep and easy access to the airport team. We felt looked after for every hour of our stay. "

"Decided to stay here because of the 5 star reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Yes it’s the opposite side of Lucca to the train station and outside the city walls but it was only a 30 minute walk because Lucca is so tiny. Gave me the opportunity to get my bearings. And only a 5 minute walk back to the wall. Was able to check in just after 11am. Room was huge as was the bathroom & both immaculately clean. And there was a kettle! Breakfast was fantastic and laid out with great care. Lovely...
