"We only stayed here one night, but wished we could have been here longer! The room was lovely and clean, the views were great, and staff was friendly. The grounds were gorgeous, and very enjoyable to walk through. We sat in lawn chairs and watched mot mots, aracari, and other birds. The on-site restaurant was fantastic as well! And they had an airport shuttle. Thanks for a wonderful experience!"

"This hotel is fine to stay for a night on flights in and out of SJO. We arrived just after sunset and fortunately the management was still able to receive us and accommodate our parking requirements. A lovely Breakfast was provided the following AM, our 1st experience with CR Rice & Beans. We LOVED it and ordered it every place we went in CR. The hotel is gated. We didn’t feel safe in the city after dark."

"It’s a good hotel to stay near the airport. Keep in mind that this hotel is very dated and basic but it’s spotless. Service checking in was great, very friendly. The morning crew at breakfast, front desk & staff on were extremely friendly. Greeting you and starting conversations with us. Parking is around the corner on another street but really like a 2 minute walk. It’s in a quiet area on a quiet street so if you go in the evening may seem scary but it’s not. "

"The woman working was so lovely, I was the only one staying here and she made sure to be there for my whole stay (i.e., 24/7 front desk). I needed to leave for the airport at 3:30 AM, and she was able to arrange transportation for me for 10 USD to the airport. She did not speak English but we handled everything via Google translate and everything worked perfectly. I did not rate this 5 stars as the area around the property felt a little unsafe, and it was a little far from the airport...
